Assistant Buyer

**The purpose of this role**

As an **Assistant Buyer** you will play an integral part of the**team**, ensuring the smooth, on-time delivery of parts and materials. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate co-ordination of all productsand services.

As Assistant Buyer **you'll be responsible for**:

- Ensuring **purchase orders** are in line with schedules and production needs
- Maintaining a high accuracy of order information on the system to ensure **deliveries are on time** and meet quality standards
- Assisting in the **negotiation** and development of supplier contracts and costs
- Sourcing the most **cost-effective solutions**, liaising with other departments internationally
- General administrative duties

**Skills & Experience**
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Experience working with MRP/ERP
- Desirable experience in procurement within a manufacturing environment
