Deputy Quality Control Manager Role at a Rapidly-Growing Pharmaceutical Company
**Your new company**
This Maidenhead-based pharmaceutical company is currently looking for Quality Control specialists to join their expanding team. Their QC facility is equipped with high-spec instrumentations, an elaborate Wet Lab for chemical analysis and a dedicated StabilityArea with temperature and humidity chambers ranging from Zone I to Zone IV b. This facility is used to support manufacturing and product development as well as routine testing of raw materials, stability samples, and finished products. The company itself hasan extensive portfolio of products they manufacture and strives to excel in quality, safety, compliance, and performance. One of their core values is to work with a patient health focus by ensuring product quality and emphasising safety.
**Your new role**
As a Deputy Quality Control Manager, you will primarily assist the Quality Control Manager to organise pharmaceutical QC testing operations. You will also have to be able to inform and direct relevant stakeholders on various lab-related matters.
Some of the responsibilities will include:

- Leading the QC department while carrying out analysis on incoming materials, components, and finished products
- Assisting in managing Senior Analysts, Analysts, Junior Analysts and Lab Assistants
- Being responsible for lab's compliance and work integrity
- Ensuring that the QC department functions in compliance with cGMPs and field regulatory dossiers for product testing
- Training, coaching and mentoring team members in various areas of work in the lab as well as having robust knowledge of all the lab processes/procedures to be able to provide technical support and advice to the team members
- Being involved in internal and external audits as an auditee as well as participating in post audit action and implementation planning
- Being able to highlight any potential issues to relevant stakeholders as well as offering solutions, if needed

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Science/related degree
- Extensive experience as a Deputy QC Manager or as a Senior QC Analyst
- Being well-versed with:

- Out of specification
- Out of trend
- Atypical results
- Investigations
- Complaints
- CAPA
- Deviation management
- Change control
- Root cause analysis
- OOC
- Date trending
- Driving OOT limit
- Experience with instrumentational analysis, including HPLC, Dissolution, UV, Gas chromatography, and FTIR in a cGMP environment
- Robust understanding of GMP, MHRA and ICH guidelines as well as BP/EP/USP methods with a strong understanding of QA processes and methodologies
