Ground Control has a new opportunity for a field based **Arboricultural (Arb)**Consultant** located across Devon and Cornwall.

**What you’ll achieve;**

Whilst delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding client expectations you will join an experienced team of Consultants and Surveyors working nationwide to deliver high quality tree surveys and consultancy services.

Working proactively and developing strong relationships, you will work alongside consultants to prepare Reports, plans and supporting documentation in relation to planning, tree condition surveys and insurance claims.

You will have a keen attention to detail, a high level of accuracy and an ability for independent working.

**Who we’re seeking;**

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with plenty of initiative and a proactive approach to problem solving. You’ll thrive on keeping abreast of industry knowledge and best practice within the world of arb.

You will have at least 3 years survey experience and a minimum Level 3 qualification in Arboriculture is required as well as the some of the following;
- A working knowledge of the planning system in relation to trees and BS5837 ‘Trees in relation to construction’
- The ability to deliver comprehensive Arboricultural reports within strict timeframes
- Proficient I.T skills including Tree Management Software
- Hold a full, clean UK driving license
- CSCS/ROLO
- Lantra Professional Tree Inspection
- Any experience of the following would also be useful;
- GPS Tree Plotting (use of Trimble or similar surveying equipment)
- Risk Assessment using ‘QTRA’ or ‘THREATS’
- Use of Decay Detection tree survey equipment
- A wider understanding of basic ecology and environmental matters
- Subsidence and insurance claims
- Arboricultural contracting/ pricing
