**Who we are**:
Marylebone Boys' School is an Academy Free School which opened in September 2014. We have approximately 600 boys in Years 7-11 and 150 pupils in our co-educational Sixth Form.

We are located in a brand-new building in the heart of the prestigious Paddington Basin area with a Sixth Form block recently on the same road as our main site on North Wharf Road.

Our school is situated in an ideal location, with excellent relationships with a multitude of company headquarters based in close proximity, including M&S, Mitsubishi, Visa, amongst others.

**Main responsibilities**:
1. Analysing punctuality and attendance trends across the school to identify if caused by welfare issues.

2. Address attendance issues with students and agree interventions and support to improve attendance to high levels in liaison with the SLT lead.

3. Contact parents to raise concerns around students’ attendance, behaviour and academic performance when appropriate.

4. Be the lead First Aider, attending to pupils who take ill during the school day.

5. Provide pastoral support for Heads of Year and the Inclusion Team. This includes but is not limited to; collecting statements to support investigations into breaches of the behaviour policy, mentoring allocated students, reporting safeguarding concerns.

6. Comprehensive note taking/report writing in relation to incidents/accidents to be reported

8. Ensuring the security and delivery of controlled medicines.

9. Supervision of medicines within the school.

10. Ensuring relevant training is provided to staff in respect of the giving and storing of medicines

11. Preparing and reviewing medical centre policies, ensuring compliant with regulatory requirements.

12. Maintaining first aid equipment throughout the school.

12. Co-ordinating the transportation of pupils requiring medical attention off site.

13. Providing First Aid materials for offsite activities.

14. Ensuring that all school ‘First Aider’ staff are competent and have undertaken training and that qualifications are valid.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**:
Experience in a pastoral role or someone with experience in educational administration and welfare.

Marylebone Boys' School is a Free School which opened in September 2014. We have 600 boys in Years 7-11 and a mixed sixth form which launched in 2019.

We are based in a new building located in the heart of the prestigious Paddington Basin area built by Westminster City Council. We are just a stone’s throw from Paddington Station with all the benefits of Crossrail as well as the existing Underground and National Rail connections.

We also have a specialist sixth form building dedicated to teaching post-16 education with brand new classrooms in close proximity on North Wharf Road.
