**About the opportunity**
We are currently recruiting for an Employee Relations (ER) Advisor to join our Employee Relations team based at our Customer Support Centre in Walsall, the role has a flexible working location, allowing you to work from home and the office.
This is an essential role working cross-functionally to provide HR advice, support, and assistance to our Retail and non-retail teams following Company policies, procedures, and best practice.
Reporting into the ER Advisor Lead, the ER Advisor would be supporting HR Managers, Area Managers, Store Managers, and employees with employee relations, including disciplinary and grievance procedures, performance improvement and absence management.
A varied role with no two days being the same, you will be someone who thrives on working in a fast-paced environment, whilst prioritising your workload.
This role comes with the ability to study for an apprenticeship.
**What you'll be doing...**
Working as part of a team, the ER Advisor would be responsible for:
- Providing expert advice on HR policy and procedures
- Working in partnership with HR Managers to manage multiple caseloads
- Advising on all HR matters including absence, performance, grievance, disciplinary and contractual queries
- Accurately producing reports and letters
**What you'll need...**
To be successful, you will have:
- Previous experience of working in a fast-paced team environment, managing a varied workload. Previous HR experience at an advisor or administrator level with a good understanding of employment law and HR policies
- CIPD, HR Management degree or similar would be desirable but not essential
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships
- Excellent organisation with the ability to prioritise own workload and have excellent attention to detail
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to collate and produce reports
