Patient Transport Services in Cambridgeshire are currently seeking qualified Paramedic to join our team to facilitate patient transfers using our High Dependency Unit vehicle (HDU). This will involve the transfer of patients requiring high dependency care to and from hospitals/care settings. At all times providing specialist, clinical, social, and holistic care to our patients. In addition, you will also play an integral part within wider team supporting and sharing your experience in delivery of daily PTS journeys when required.

We have a Part-Time vacancy for a HCPC registered Band 6 Paramedic to work on the Cambridgeshire PTS Contract rota running Monday - Sunday between the hours of 07:00 - 19:00, with a possibility to cover this position with 2 part time posts.
- We are also looking for Bank Paramedics, offering a 0 hours contract for further flexibility*

Establish appropriate clinical care and treatment plan using appropriate clinical guidelines and within your own training and competency. Including clinical interventions and invasive techniques such as intubation, cannulation, IV injections, defibrillation and other treatment procedures where necessary.

To assist in the conveyance of patients and passengers using the appropriate equipment provided and/or manual handling techniques to the level of training provided by the Trust, in line with the Trust policy.

Continue to undertake duty of care to patient, ensuring an appropriate level of monitoring and treatment is maintained throughout the journey and after arrival at destination, until such time as a transfer of duty of care can be made.

When working with a colleague who is less clinically qualified or less experienced, the postholder will be expected to provide appropriate guidance, as necessary.

To carry out daily equipment checks, in accordance with the Trusts vehicle daily inspection (VDI) process and maintain and clean equipment following patient use using the infection control policy.

To maintain the interior and exterior of emergency vehicles in a state of cleanliness in line with Infection Control guidelines.

To undertake all mandatory training, re-certification, and any advancement in patient care training commensurate with the Paramedic profession in order to maintain registration as a Registered Paramedic in accordance with HCPC requirements.
