An opportunity has arisen to work as a B4 Assistant within the Musculoskeletal Team (Physiotherapy Service) in Ysbyty Gwynedd. This is a newly created role, designed to embrace and support the delivery of musculoskeletal services and routine and enhanced recovery arthroplasty services.
The post is fully integrated into the Orthopaedic Physiotherapy team and will help to ensure the delivery of a high standard physiotherapy at all stages of orthopaedic and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. It will help promote early therapeutic intervention and demonstrate a significant role in ensuring the delivery of classes and follow-up interventions.
In addition, the post will have a role in providing training, teaching and support for other Physiotherapy Assistants, student Physiotherapists and the wider Multi-disciplinary team. The post-holder will work closely with the Clinical Specialists in Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Services to ensure continuity of services and safe and effective patient experiences. There will also be a need to undertake audit and patient satisfaction activities.
To work independently under the direction of a physiotherapist to support an efficient day-to-day running of the physiotherapy service by providing highly skilled support work. To contribute to the general running of the physiotherapy service.
To work under direction of a physiotherapist but in an unsupervised capacity to assist in the overall clinical and administrative management of patients.
To deliver routine physiotherapeutic treatment programmes independently and progress treatments within guidelines and protocols. To be accountable for these tasks.
To participate in training of self and others to update and assist in service changes within designated area.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
