**JOB SUMMARY**:

- Full Time, Permanent- Hybrid- Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire- Salary: £23152 - £25043 per annum- REF: 37899We are looking for a full time Finance Assistant to join our client, a flourishing and vibrant secondary school in the local area. The main areas of responsibility will be running the day-to-day financial operations and liaising with stakeholders. This will include processing income and expenditure on the purchase and sales ledger, reconciliation of parent pay income, credit cards and trips using Iris Financials (PSF).

This role would suit someone with experience or someone looking to develop their finance career.

Mon to Thurs 8.30 - 4.30 Fri 8.30 - 4 (but start and finish time can be flexible as long as the 37 hours a week are covered). This role offers hybrid working - up to 2 days per week from home. Fantastic benefits.

Duties include
- Processing income and expenditure transactions accurately and timely
- Raising sales invoices
- Processing expense claims
- Creating payment runs
- Reconciliation of bank and credit cards
- Supporting staff to ensure correct coding is applied
- Creating journal entries
- Administration and reconciliation of ParentPay
- Maintaining and developing the contracts register
- Assist the Finance Manager with month end reconciliations
- Create new suppliers ensuring VAT compliance for monthly returns

Skills/Experience
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of financial processes and procedures
- Be confident in using Excel
- Be able to multitask and prioritise
- Work to a high degree of accuracy, with attention to detail
- Thrive in a high-pressure environment
- Be able to learn new software
- Take responsibility for personal continued professional development, making full use of the school’s CPD opportunities and training
