**We are looking for a relief cook to cover holiday and sickness in our day nursery**. As part of our nursery team you will be performing a variety of tasks primarily cooking tasty, nutritious meals from fresh produce. We have 4 weekly rotating seasonal menus.

We are currently recruiting a Relief Cook to join our team. As a Cook you will be delivering an effective catering service operating to the highest standards of food safety.

Your role will require you to prepare and cook meals for very young children, up to the age of 4. You will also be responsible for other kitchen management duties such as preparing shopping list, going shopping, stocktaking and administration of the Safer Food Group daily recording and monitoring requirements, washing up (we have a commercial dishwasher) and cleaning the kitchen and helping with daily laundry duties.

You will be providing cover for holiday and sickness. You should hold a current Food Hygiene Certificate, Allergy and Awareness Certificate ideal but not essential. The position will also require an enhanced DBS.

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: From £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
