Tractor Driver

**About us**

Drysdale’s are a large-scale vegetable producer and processor based in the Lothians and Borders of Southern Scotland. We grow approximately 800Ha of Specialist vegetables including Brussel sprouts, Leeks and Swede.

**About the role**

Drysdale’s are looking for a versatile, enthusiastic and conscientious full-time tractor Driver to work alongside our existing farming team.

The successful applicant will be required to carry out a wide variety of tasks that are involved in the successful growing and harvesting across all three of the crops grown by Drysdale’s. These duties will include - planting, mechanical weeding, spraying, harvester work, hauling from field to packhouse, cultivation work and everything in between.

Tuition and training will be provided wherever necessary for the successful applicant to expand their skillset.

- Takes pride in their work and carries out tasks to the highest standard
- A keen eye for detail
- Has an interest in crop protection and husbandry
- Experience of working in the agricultural sector
- Has basic workshop skills
- Willing to work flexible hours during peak times
- Self-motivated and works well as part of a team
- Has a desire to progress in their career
- Full UK driver’s license

**Desirable skills, traits, and qualifications -**
- PA1 and PA2 spraying tickets - training can be provided for this.
- Experience in operating tractors and large machinery
- An agricultural qualification from further or higher education
