**Early Years Educator Apprenticeship - Medua Bilingual Nursery**

**About Medua Bilingual Nursery**
Young children who go to Medua Bilingual Nursery get the tools and support they need for their healthy development. All activities are designed to adequately nurture the emotional, intellectual and physical growth of our kids. Through stimulating situations and hands-on learning opportunities, children are free to develop into bright young minds.
**Apprenticeship Summary**
- Monday - Friday
- 19 Months to complete the apprenticeship
- 25 hours a week 1x morning shift 1x afternoon shift
- Term time hours TBC
- Starting salary - £5.28 per hour
- GCSE or equivalent Maths and English (Grade 4/C and above or Level 2) essential
- Any successful applicant must complete a DBS check prior to start date
**What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?**
Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification.
You will be fully supported by your workplace mentor and LMP education training provider.
Training will be delivered remotely online through virtual sessions with your allocated tutor. You will typically have one training session a week, all assignments are submitted online through our platform smart assessor.
**Job role and responsibilities**
- To contribute to the creation of a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children
- To be aware of Rainbow Wood’s policies and procedures and ensure these are adhered to
- To be responsible for the welfare of all children in your designated room, organising systems to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
- To be vigilant and protect children from harm or abuse, reporting any concerns immediately - in accordance with safeguarding, child protection and whistle-blowing policies.
- To understand child to staff ratio’s and ensure that these are maintained at all times.
- To reflect on practices and routines, tailoring them to meet the individual needs of each child throughout the day.
- To plan and set up a range of interesting To lead observations and the for the children and lead activities followed by observations for the assessment of children’s learning and development ensuring records are kept up-to-date, are of a high standard and are shared effectively - including sharing information for when needed to get the children the appropriate level of support if needed.
- To develop genuine bonds with key children and support and monitor colleagues to sensitively fulfil their key person responsibilities.
- To work in partnership with all parents/carers, building and maintaining relationships that encourage trust, open communication and involvement in nursery life.
- To contribute to the effective recording and resolution of any complaints or investigations, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
- To be professional and a good role-model to the children and other staff members at all times.
- To work flexibly as part of the larger team, assisting and supporting colleagues whenever required, in order to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
- To be aware of the high profile of Rainbow Wood and refrain from irresponsible behaviour that could impact the company’s success.
- To attend reasonable out-of-working-hours activities, including training, staff meetings, parents evenings and special events.
- To respect and value all colleagues, children and parents, encouraging a positive and diverse working environment.
- To cooperate and work effectively with the management team, taking on additional responsibilities / duties and positively promoting developments in policies and procedures to team members.
- To undertake any other aspects of nursery work according to need.
