**About the Trust**

Kent & Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust is a Mental Health Trust and, given the nature this post, may include exposure to distressing information and circumstances.

**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Welcome, meet and greet service users, carers, relatives, or visitors, alerting healthcare professional.
- Update attendance records and ensuring visitors book is signed, check ID for secure areas as per KMPT policy, check contact details up to date.
- Monitor waiting visitors/clients ensuring they are attended to by the most appropriate member of staff in a timely manner and apologise on behalf of staff members when a delay in being seen in likely to arise and be alert to obvious changes in behaviour that might require more urgent assistance.
- Issuing of mobile phone and personal safety alarms e.g in secure areas, daily checking alarms are in working order and arranging for repairs as appropriate.
- Making room bookings for appointments and meetings and issuing/signing out keys or mobile phones as appropriate.

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above

**You’lllearn the following whilst working at the trust**:

- An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
- Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
- A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

**You’llhave the following skills/experience**:

- Receptionist/ similar role experience
- Excellent IT skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent organisation skills
- Microsoft package knowledge - Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
