Hotel Cromwell is a thriving hotel in Old Town Stevenage, with 77 bedrooms and a large Conference & Banqueting business including weddings, funerals, birthday parties and corporate events. Since its recent refurbishment the venue is the first choice in the town for all sorts of occasions

We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and driven Head Receptionist to join the team ensuring our guests expectations are always exceeded and that we build on the great reputation of the hotel.

**Salary**: £25,000 to £28,000

Reporting directly to the Reservations Manager, the head receptionit will be responsible for:

- Welcome (check in) all arriving guests to the required minimum standard.
- Bid farewell (check out) all departing guests to the required minimum standard.
- Handle all telephone calls, including internal and external for in-house guests, enquiries, and other departments.
- Record and report maintenance and security issues, raised by guests and employees and follow up where appropriate.
- Complete the rota for reception.
- Complete reservations notes for all duty managers
- Record and process lost property and follow up where appropriate
- Make out of hour bedroom reservations.
- Conduct general administrative duties using Microsoft office, internet explorer and the hotel property management system.
- Balance cash and card charges at the end of each shift.

**Hours of work**

Hours: 5 days a week 40 hours a week

Shift times and days will vary each week but will include weekends.

A typical shift would be 6.45 to 14.45 or 14.45 to 22.45pm

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
