Residential Team Leader needed with West Berkshire Council

**Description**:

- Residential team leaders work directly with Children and young people based on a rolling rota involving mornings, evenings, weekends and to model good practice, providing leadership and direction for staff during shifts.
- As a team leader you will work with the Registered Managers & Deputy Manager to establish and maintain a competent, motivated, and confident staffing team providing leadership, managerial direction, guidance, and support to staff.
- Residential team leaders are required to provide an enabling environment for children and young people with learning disability, autism and associated needs, through developing the physical environment and the skills of the staff team and strengthening the links with multidisciplinary community teams.
- AS a team leader you are responsible for providing a short breaks service that achieves positive outcomes for children and carers, facilitating maximum independence, dignity, choice, and control, through person centred planning and support, and making sure the environment is tailored as much as possible to each individual's needs.

**What is required?**
- A qualification which the registered provider considers to be equivalent to the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare and or a commitment to work towards this qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience of working within residential childcare settings i.e. social care, education, health or voluntary
