**We are currently recruiting to our Short Breaks Service (Respite)**

Caring and reliable **Community Support Worker's **to work within the **Chorley & South Ribble Short Breaks Service **in **Adult Social Care **at **Lancashire County Council **.

We are looking for cheerful and positive individuals who would like to make a difference to the people we support, to come and join our team. Our Short Breaks Service require multiple Community Support Workers to join us in making a substantial difference to the lives of the people we support within our Adult Disability Service.

You will be welcomed into the short breaks service and make the guests day to day routine something to look forward to with your upbeat attitude and friendly persona. It is not essential that you have a background in Health and Social Care, you just need to have a good heart and a caring nature. We provide all the required training to ensure you get the most from your role, with qualifications on offer it's a great opportunity to progress in this service and turn it into a career to be proud of

This is a 20 hour post, working nights.

**Empathy & Resilience **- you will have an understanding of the challenges the people we support deal with which means an empathic nature is of upmost importance - you will need bags of motivation and be able to keep going even on the more difficult days - the needs of our service users can be complex and you may face challenging behaviour but your determination and dedication to excellent care will make it feel easy - it is essential that you are able to communicate clearly and effectively with every individual providing reassurance and positivity.

The Adult Disability Service also promotes career development opportunities with various qualifications and training on offer - you will be able to take advantage of a QCF qualification (Qualifications and Credit Framework) which is NVQ Level 3 equivalent - we also have very supportive management team who ensure all team members are guided, great culture and you'll be working alongside people with the same values as your own.
