**Permanent, Full Time**
**37.5 hours per week**
**£20,670 per annum**
**Description of Service**:
Malvern View Sites are commutable from Worcester, Hereford, Kidderminster and surrounds.
**Description of Role/Duties**:
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team, the role of Therapies Assistant will work under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist or Speech and Language Therapist supporting the delivery of a high quality vocational and clinical provision within the Service.
Your role in brief would include:
- Observing and interacting with Service Users.
- Compiling reports
- Contributing to assessments when required
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive clinical records
- Preparing therapy resources and equipment
- Supporting service users to work on their independence skills
- Support the running of groups within the service
- Deliver structured interventions under the close supervision of the clinical team
- Liaising with outside agencies to communicate a Service User’s need
- Administrative duties to support the Clinical Team
**Criteria/Key Skills Required**:
- Minimum of 5 GCSE passes and evidence of study within further education
- Experience of paid or voluntary work in an Learning Disability setting and/or with young people/adults with complex needs or challenging behaviour
- Experience or knowledge of people with autism (ASD)
- Relevant experience working as a Therapies Assistant or similar, although not essential
- Ability to work with people who present with challenging behaviours
