**Job summary**:

This is a key role, within the Personal and Professional Learning Engagement Team in People, Capability and Place Group.

**Job description**:
The role of the Learning Consultant is to:

- Consult, engage and be there for our customers.
- Lead consultation engagements with customers and stakeholders to:

- Support and help the areas understand and articulate their learning and development needs and requirements.
- Seek out, understand, and capture whether the learning opportunities arranged delivered the expected outcomes, return on investment, individual and team impacts, and understand whether the learning opportunities added the value expected to the organisation.
- Provide expert guidance and determine the right procurement route.
- Translate users’ needs and requirements that have been identified into user stories and deliver these onto the learning calendar for learning services colleagues to deliver the learning opportunities.
- Co-design, co-deliver, and maintain the accuracy of key learning materials, learning calendar of events, learning database, stakeholder matrix and RACI.
- Lead and deliver on the Capability Skills and Talent Groups meetings arrangements; invites, attendees, agenda preparations, papers, actions logging and tracking to completion, meeting outcome notes.
- Be responsible, accountable, and focussed on delivery as outlined on the plan, such as:

- the learning calendar,
- understanding the learners’ communities,
- accurately maintaining the one single learning database.

Understand your own skills and capability and work with colleagues to build your own skills, development, and capabilities.

Support and deliver to the team key work objectives, values and the ambition to be a Centre of Excellence for Learning and Development.

This is achieved through:

- Highly engaged stakeholders and stakeholders’ feedback
- Learning and development needs and requirements identified and captured
- Learning and development needs actively understood, regularly reviewed, and being responded to
- Users’ stories are articulated, clear, understood and prioritised
- Learning and development events in the calendar map clearly against the users’ stories
- The Capability, Skills and Talent Groups are smoothly running, and each are delivering against its Terms Of Reference
