**What is the job role?**

We are searching for a Buying Assistant to join our team at Gael Force Group Ltd, based in Inverness. There will be flexibility around the core working hours.

**What were looking for**:

- To purchase consumables and personal protective equipment (PPE) in line with budget ensuring it is accurately recorded in line with company Purchasing Procedure, placing orders in a timely manner to achieve production delivery schedules.
- Processing of Purchase Orders based on Project Managers instruction.
- To negotiate competitive pricing of materials and components for manufacture.
- To ensure owners of Purchase Requisitions are kept up to date with delivery times.
- Assisting Project Managers with Admin tasks such as booking accommodation and travel for employees.
- General Administration, filing and other ad-hoc duties as the business dictates.
- Assistance in the administration of quality assurance documentation.
- Assisting the Commercial Director in preparing job reports.
- Contribute towards improving processes and procedure.
- To follow all company policies and procedures.
- Any other work as could reasonably be expected of this role.

**What youll need**:

- Experience of purchasing and sourcing components in an engineering environment.
- Proficient in MS Office emphasis on Excel, especially Pivot tables and basic formulas.
- Strong service-orientation.
- Can demonstrate a proven ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet strict deadlines.

**What can you expect**:
In return for working a 39-hour week, we are offering:

- A salary of £26,000.00 per annum.
- Generous staff discount on over 10,000 product lines in-store.
- Cycle to work scheme.
- Annual leave allowance commencing at 30 days per annum and increasing generously with length of service.
