Steward / Stewardess

Overview:
Starting pay is from £12 to £14 per hour. Hours and pay are negotiable depending on experience. You will receive 28 days holiday a year (pro-rata) inclusive of Bank holidays. A car or access to a car is desirable for the purchase and collection of stock. You will receive a petrol allowance to cover the cost of business mileage.

Applicants should have a positive, entrepreneurial attitude to drive the business forward. This job is not just about serving behind the bar. The Steward / Stewardess should be the star of the bar, always building relationships with customers. The Steward / Stewardess should also be pro-active in taking and suggesting actions that will be for the benefit of the Club. You will be one of the main guardians of the Club’s purse and have a responsibility to seek out value in all activities. Previous experience of working in the hospitality sector is essential. Catering experience is desirable but not essential.

Duties will include:

- Completing the weekly bar sheet and bank cash
- Managing the staff roster
- Ordering stock from suppliers and have good stock control skills
- Serving behind the bar
- Ensuring high standards of service are maintained
- Ensuring that that the Club premises are well maintained
- Organising entertainment and special events such as the children’s Christmas Party

**Job Type**: Permanent

Pay: £12.50-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 30 per week

- Supervising experience: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Bar Working: 1 year (required)
