Working 22.5 hours a week, you will undertake your administration duties as you cover reception, for which you will be a friendly face with a welcoming personality as you greet staff, visitors and service users, monitor and maintain security checks and manageand allocatesecurity ID badges to staff and visitors.

**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Receiving all telephone calls and transferring the same without delay, taking messages as appropriate, taking into account confidentiality and information governance.
- Dealing with meeting and greeting of customers and escorting visitors to required destination within the hospital.
- Ensuring customers are dealt with in a professional, positive manner at all times.
- Ensuring appropriate liaison of customers to ward /departments to ensure smooth running of professional visits.
- Dealing with queries from customers on a day to day basis.
- Ensuring security of the hospital is not compromised with visitors.
- Actively listening to and responding to visits feedback, both positive and negative.
- Providing a high quality customer focused service and ensure that a high standard of customer care is provided at all times.
- Initiating and developing systems and procedures to ensure a consistent, efficient service is maintained.
- Updating all reception data, policies and procedures.
- Being a central point of contact, liaise as appropriate in case of fire alarm, medical emergencies and first aid calls.
- Supporting colleagues with feedback received from customers to assist with service delivery and developments.
- Supporting in the organization and delivery of events.
- Supporting administration team in daily duties including binding, laminating, producing posters/leaflets as well as general office support where appropriate
- Maintaining visitor waiting areas and visitors areas to a high standard
- Sorting and processing the outgoing and incoming mail for the unit.
- Accepting deliveries and forward to the appropriate recipients.
**To be successful in this role you will need**:
- GCSE certificate, Grade C or above in English and Maths, or equivalent;
- Demonstrated ability to display professional conduct at all times;
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships;
- Ability to handle stressful situations;
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality at all times;
- Accuracy, efficiency, timeliness, and diligence are displayed in the accomplishment of all assigned duties with a minimum of direct supervision;
- Articulate and numerate, with strong sense of self-motivation;
- A flexible, collaborative attitude towards duties and responsibilities;
- Experience in a customer service role
