**About The Role**:
We are seeking a dynamic Product Owner who will operate at squad level, leading a cross functional team of colleagues, delivering exceptional products that help our customers manage their driving life

**Role Purpose**:

- The PO is responsible for setting, prioritising, defining and accepting work to deliver great digital outcomes to support the customer and drive value for the business
- You will develop data driven feature requests and work with the Engineering Manager / Principal to schedule releases, and co-ordinate sprints
- Working closely with the Product Managersproviding guidance to influence and agree the product roadmap
- You are accountable for developing scope and working with the squad / BA and/or Product Designer to define timely and high quality backlog items (epics/features/user stories) that drive the product development team.
- You engage with internal and external product stakeholders to understand and refine the product vision driving and contributing to the product roadmap, outlining work in the Product Backlog, and prioritizing it based on business value.
- Accountable for understanding the product/programme/project high level requirements in order to assess value in line with KPIs and then shape the delivery, providing appropriate solution options and estimates to deliver business outcomes.

**Key role responsibilities**:
Product analysis:

- Collaborate with stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of a product
- Working with the Product Manager to build, own and manage a Product Backlog that is visible, transparent, and clear to all
- Working with the Product Manager define what the product development team will work on next 1-2 sprints, using data to provide clarity on the incremental value it will deliver and alignment to the overall objectives, KPIs and key results
- Assess requests from the business for digital projects, communicating where a project cannot be suported due to misalignment with the product KPIs or current roadmap priorities, without damaging relationships
- Define features & stories to support end to end customer journeys.
- Work with the Digital Optimisation Analtsy and Product Designer to define end-to-end user journeys to drive simple and compelling user experiences
- Work with the Engineering Manager / Principal Engineer / BA to review and assess the impact of proposed product changes and provide documented assessments of viable options so that solutions can be agreed and defined
- Work with tester / quality assurance to define acceptance criteria and validate the product delivery for robust implementation
- Work with the Engineering Manager / Principal Engineer to prioritise the technical roadmap and reflect in the sprint plan
- Managing expectations and competing requests from different demand teams where in line with product KPIs or confirmed as a strategic business priority by PAB
- Makes product owner decisions necessary to advance progress taking consultation from the product delivery team on technical or design aspects
- Empowers the product development team to be self organising and provides feedback to support individuals development and team improvement
- Be a central point of reference for all change related to the product, communicating clearly how changes can impact one another.

**About You**:
**Skills/Knowledge/Experience**
- Experience working in a modern agile Product Owner role.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner qualification
- Experience developing deep understanding of customer needs and translating into clear product requirements.
- Experience developing and prioritising a product backlog
- Ability to analyse data, form hypotheses, and decide what to do next
- Ability to communicate ideas and tech content to different stakeholders, from engineers to senior execs
- Experience working in a transformation context within an existing, established business, having participated in establishing and progressively improving Product Ownership practices and processes.
- Proven ability to deliver solutions for programmes/ project(s) balancing time, cost and quality
- Detailed knowledge of agile requirements definition; requirements management, solution processes and associated techniques
- 2+ years experience as a Product Owner, ideally in a B2C environment
- 5+ years work experience
- Experience using tools such as Confluence, JIRA, Trello, Miro/Mural or similar Agile project management tools.
- Experience in Lean, Kanban, XP, desirable
- BCS qualified (Int. Diploma in BA) desirable
