Stores Co-ordinator

**Purpose and Summary of position**:
Coordinate all warehouse activities to ensure required products are available for production requirements in line with the planned schedule. Direct and control stock check functions to ensure stock accuracy and report and rectify discrepancies. Assist with the daily dispatch requirements for fittings and assemblies from the relevant stores.

**Summary**:

- Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager.
- Control of company storage areas to include all raw materials and production consumables.
- Ensure all company stock products are recorded accurately in the Syspro system. Monitor and report on stock accuracy to defined KPI targets.
- Investigate and explain variances in stock, suggesting solutions to rectify.
- Monitor internal orders and delivery measures to be in line with procedures set to meet production needs.
- Liaise with the Supply Chain Manager and the Purchasing department to achieve all logistic / production related targets.
- Ensure effective cross departmental communication in matters relative to your area. Develop new innovative ideas to cut costs and be more energy efficient thus improving inventory control.
- Provide administrative support to the Supply Chain Manager where required.
- Carry out additional duties / reports etc. for the Supply Chain function as and when required.
Contribute to all business health and safety initiatives including safety/accident/incident audits in line with current legislative standards and Codes of Practice.

**Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities**:

- Demonstrate a good basic standard of education.
- Have a sound knowledge of modern information technology.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of Warehouse / Stores environment.
- Be well organised and articulate, paying a high attention to detail, having the ability to deal accurately with a lot of information.
- A self motivated individual with the flexibility to adopt and a willingness to develop new skills.
- Be well able to work on own initiative solving problems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal with a variety of people, both internal and external.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
- Experience of modern logistics techniques

**Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities**:

- Understanding of stock tracking systems.
- Forklift Driver to include a Reach Truck.
- Good health and safety awareness.
- Working knowledge of SYSPRO or similar ERP systems

**Experience**:

- Store management: 1 year (preferred)
