Location**:Portlethen, Aberdeen, AB12
**Salary**:£19,500 - £22,500 per annum
**Contract**:Permanent
**Hours of Work**:35 hours per week. The normal working pattern will be Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm with a one-hour unpaid lunch break each day.

Our client is a privately owned service company working in the global energy sector with around 35 employees.?They are headquartered in Portlethen, Aberdeenshire and provide speciality chemicals and consultancy services to the Global Energy Industry.?ThePortlethen office houses their Operations, Research & Development and Commercial Operations divisions.? They have regional offices located in Dubai and the Netherlands. The organisation’s business is in the conventional energy sector (Oil & Gas), but theirbusiness is expanding into the Renewable Energy Industries such as Geothermal and Offshore Wind.?The business consists of a dynamic team who strive to provide high quality, responsive service and bespoke solutions to their clients’ challenges and projects.

**The role**

**What you will be doing**
- Ensuring all laboratory incoming samples are logged in on arrival
- Log in and distribute incoming consumables
- Test drain samples and report results as required
- Perform QC testing on raw materials and formulated products
- Record results in QC database
- Perform daily and weekly QC equipment calibrations as required
- Correctly store QC retained samples
- Prepare lab samples for sample dispatch
- Package samples for dispatch
- Log all incoming and outgoing samples
- Order all consumables and maintain laboratory stock levels
- Elastomer compatibility testing
- Metal coupon compatibility testing
- Chemical compatibility testing
- Scale Inhibitor and Corrosion Inhibitor residual analysis

**About you**
- Good organisational and time management skills.
