**The Role**
A **Stock Controller / Purchasing Assistant** role has arisen within our stores and purchasing departments.

As a **Stock Controller / Purchasing Assistant** you will be based in both a warehouse and office environment depending on the tasks required. Day to day duties will include but not be limited to:

- Controlling, maintaining & managing the correct stock levels to ensure parts and components are readily available in the required amounts at all times.
- Pro actively carrying out stock checks on a regular basis and liaising with the stores and purchasing departments to resolve any discrepancies
- Implement good stock control practices to help minimise discrepancies
- Being responsible for creating purchase orders for direct & indirect materials via purchase requisition, MRP or other stock replenishment methods.
- Being responsible for the expediting of purchase orders for direct & indirect suppliers to ensure they arrive on time to meet our production and customer requirements.
- Working closely with suppliers to ensure parts and items arrive on time, in full and to the required quality standards.
- Update & maintain all supplier details on the system such as lead times, MOQ’s, order method & contact information.
- Actively participate where required in lean & continuous improvement activities.

**Hours of Work**
7:30am - 16:00pm (Mon to Thurs)
7:30am - 15:00pm (Friday)
