**Job description**
Key tasks and responsibilities:
The following are the main duties of a receptionist. There may be occasions where you are asked to carry out other tasks; this will depend on factors such as workload and staffing levels:
Medical reception including telephone answering, assisting patients with queries. You will work with a team and rotate duties either in the 'call centre' or on the main reception desk.
Daily duties such as :Booking appointments face to face and over the phone and signposting to ensure the patient is booked with the right person, in the right place at the right time
Receiving and recording requests for home visits, DN visits, telephone consultations and taking messages
Helping to assist with general enquiries
Answer incoming calls in a timely manner as per practice protocol
Switching on clinicians PCs and ensuring everything is set up for the day
Full training will be given.
