**Job Title**: Head of Drama

**Location**: Lewisham

**Position Type**: Full-Time, Permanent

**Salary**: Paid to Scale

**Start Date**: Immediate start or for the new academic year

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and deliver engaging and challenging Drama lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, in line with the National Curriculum and exam board requirements.
- Lead and manage the Drama department, providing guidance and support to colleagues, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Direct and produce school productions, showcases, and performances, involving students in all aspects of theatrical production.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure each student reaches their full potential.
- Organise and facilitate extracurricular Drama activities, clubs, and workshops to enhance students' skills and experiences.
- Collaborate with other departments and external partners to integrate Drama into cross-curricular projects and community initiatives.

**Requirements**:

- Qualified teacher status (QTS) and relevant degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Drama at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, with a track record of achieving excellent results.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate both students and colleagues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff members.
- Creative flair and passion for the performing arts, with the ability to create exciting and innovative learning experiences.
- Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school community.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Work Location: In person
