We are seeking an experienced senior administrator to temporarily manage the administration of the Children's Speech and Language Therapy service, based in Merthyr Tydfil. Duties include: the daily running of the Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) Children’s’administration function.
- To be responsible for the workload and management of the Childrens’ Administration Team,.
- To book appointment clinics on Welsh PAS (Myrddin), and liaise with Head of Children’s SLT Service in relation to waiting list management.
- To provide secretarial support to Head of Children’s SLT, other Speech and Language Therapists and clients.
- To offer support to clients throughout their SLT pathway, providing non-clinical information to parents and guardians as required.
- To liaise with Head of Speech and Language Therapy, Head of Children’s Speech and Language Therapy and other Speech and Language Therapists, Departments and external clients.
- To support SLT Managers in the management of Waiting Lists, ensuring that the Directorate and Health Board meet required targets, as set by the Welsh Government.
- To work independently use own initiative when dealing with confidential and sensitive issues on a daily basis.
- To provide end of month forecast referral/screen capacity data to Managers to help forecast and predict future activity.
**Position Requirements**
- DBS Cleared
- 3 month (minimum) locum assignment to start as soon as possible
- Full time hours (Monday - Friday)
- Minimum of two years experience
- Previous experience performing a similar role within a Medical setting
