Weighbridge Operator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a **Weighbridge Operator** to join our Operations team based at our Blantyre site. This is a full-time, permanent role.
Reporting to Site Operations Manager, the successful applicant will form part of a small team to ensure the safe, compliant, accurate and efficient operation of the weighbridge. The successful applicant will be able to work on their own initiative and be confident in dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
**Key Roles and Responsibilities will include**:
- Process weighbridge transactions
- Liaise with drivers and customers for all incoming and outgoing materials
- First point of contact for all visitors to site
- Document management: processing waste transfer notes, weighbridge paperwork and work time sheets
- Document management: complete all visitor work permits and registration documentation to comply with site H&S requirements.
- Proven ability to work under pressure handling multiple tasks and ensuring accuracy along with timely completion of all activities
- Possess strong computer knowledge/IT skills (Particularly spreadsheet based systems)
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Be a self-motivated individual with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Be a team player who can also work on their own and use their own initiative.
**Experience and Qualifications**:
- Previous Weighbridge experience would be advantageous
**Pay and Benefits**:
- 40 hours per week, 7am to 4pm
- Up to £26,500 per annum
- 26 days and 4 statutory days holiday
- Holidays increase with length of service
