**Overview of Responsibilities**:
**Department description**

The Procurement Department deliver support to enable the delivery of projects within time parameters to meet project milestones and targets, collaborating with others to define the project scope taking into account Public Contract Regulations.

This is a busy and vibrant department supporting very diverse customers, both internal and external, the variety of goods and services that the team are responsible for is vast and the Procurement professionals are involved in a huge range of related Commercial activity.

We have an excellent opportunity for motivated and enthusiastic graduates to join our two-year graduate scheme, this vacancy is for those interested in working in procurement as part of our exciting scheme, you will spend 80% of your time developing both your general work-related skills and professional qualifications, with 20% of your working time dedicated to graduate training and development. UKAEA has a nurturing community that learns from each other.

Within the 20% training and development, there is a core suite of activities designed to develop your professional and business skills. Elements of this programme are flexible and can be tailored to your personal development needs and to those of your specific job role.

**What opportunities does the graduate scheme cover?**

Roles and examples of the type of work/projects you would be involved in include:

- Support the Procurement team with the delivery of the sustainability strategy and the agreed objectives
- Support the development of guidance for Project Managers and Contract Project Managers
- Help to raise awareness of sustainability in the Procurement teams

Our scheme is accredited by the The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) as a professional development scheme.

Full-time**Qualifications**:
To be considered you will need to have successfully completed your degree within the past 2 years, and will possess a relevant degree from within the specialisms listed:

- Supply Chain Management
- Sustainability
- Business Management
- Buisness Degree with Supply chain and/ or sustainability modules

You will need to be self-motivated, demonstrate the ability to work well with others, and have an interest in the development of a cleaner energy. Additionally, you will be passionate about self-development and you should have a proactive approach to your work with an enthusiasm to achieving your full potential.
