**Team Educate are looking for an aspiring and passionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs in a Special School setting in the Solihull area. **This position is entry-level and would be best suited to somebody who is looking to gain experience and make a real difference.

Here at Team Educate, we're currently in search of exceptional trainee Teaching Assistants for our partner school, that provides alternative provision education for pupils outside of mainstream education. Pupils at the school typically have a diagnosis of Autism and have been unable to engage in mainstream education. This exceptional Independent School provides a creative, therapeutic and practical curriculum for its pupils and offers an unrivalled training and progression package.

The role of Teaching Assistant is tailor-made for individuals who possess a strong desire and heartfelt dedication to nurturing the potential of all learners within the classroom. Experience working as a Teaching Assistant previously is not necessary for this role
- but, ideally, you will have some personal, lived or practical experience of working with those with SEND or, specifically, Autism.

**The role of a Teaching Assistant**:
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play an integral role in providing tailored support to pupils, ensuring they receive the finest education and the tools needed for personal growth. Collaborating closely with class teachers, you'll contribute to fostering a supportive teaching environment, allowing each pupil to thrive in their lessons. Your experience will mean that you can work closely with children with mínimal supervision and will have the ability to take the lead in ensuring academic and behavioural development.

**Successful Teaching Assistants should have**:

- A strong interest in gaining experience in Special Education
- A proactive attitude coupled with a genuine passion for working with children.
- Previous experience of supporting the varying needs of young learners, including ASC, ADHD and SEMH needs.
