Treehouse is a specialist wellbeing service for neurodivergent adults who require an individualised programme and bespoke environment to support and improve their wellbeing, skills development and independence. The service aims to build confidence, resilience and through our person-centred approach, achieve agreed goals and ambitions. Treehouse offers a range of activities delivered by Treehouse Wellbeing Practitioners, tutors and specialist staff.

The adults currently using the service, require 2:1 support.

**Job Purpose**
- support the wellbeing and skills development of adults with a wide range of individualised support needs;
- ensure that the individualised needs of those who access our services are met through:

- flexible person-centred support which meets the needs of the adults using the service, including personal care;
- an environment in which people thrive;
- programmes of activities that help reach personal goals, improve self-esteem, develop new skills and enhance life opportunities;
- positive and professional relationships;
- communicating appropriately to meet individual needs;
- adapting support to meet changing needs of the individual;
- best practice in low arousal and positive behaviour support to help reduce anxiety and build resilience;
- appropriate responsive support to behaviours of concern.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Safeguarding**:

- work collaboratively to ensure the highest quality of support is experienced for all those who use the Trust’s services, including care and wellbeing;
- provide a safe and nurturing environment, where we safeguard those who use our services by encouraging positive risk taking and empowering people to reach, and exceed, their potential;
- recognise the impact of our own views, judgements and behaviours and how they might impact on how safe a person feels in their environment;
- ensure the dignity, protection and welfare of individuals at all times;
- support adults to make choices which will assist them to be safe.

**Service Delivery**:

- work in partnership with the adults using the service, contributing to the assessment of individualised needs and the planning of person-centred approaches that promote wellbeing and skills development;
- support service users to engage with outcomes identified within their person-centred plans, to enhance their wellbeing and opportunities for independence;
- contribute to the development and regular review of individualised risk assessments, promoting risk enablement;
- ensure the environment is appropriate to individualised needs;
- assist in the planning, resource management and delivery of a range of activities that support the achievement of personalised developmental and wellbeing outcomes; this includes but is not limited to life skills, cooking, cleaning, gardening, hobbies, self-occupancy, and independent living skills;
- organise and utilise resources for skills development and wellbeing;
- ensure comprehensive understanding of the communication strategies appropriate to the needs of adults using the service;
- agree and actively support the ongoing understanding of boundaries and expectations for those who uses our services;
- provide a high level of support, engagement and supervision at all times; ensuring consistency and structure;
- work proactively with the team to support positive behaviour and respond appropriately to behaviour of concern, following guidance and protocols, to ensure safety is maintained at all times;
- participate and use reflection tools to challenge our thinking around what we do and how we do it, to best meet the needs of those who use our service;
- provide personal care to those using our service, as required;
- support the transition of those who use our services, within and outwith the service;
- continuously monitor and accurately record individuals’ progress, ensuring all information is managed in accordance with the Trust’s policies on data protection;
- maintain positive and effective engagement and communication with parents, guardians and others involved in the care of those who use our services to protect and further their interests;
- deliver programmes of support in the community through outreach, where appropriate.

**Continuous development and enhancement of services and practice**
- understand and comply with the Trust’s policies, procedures and quality standards, as well as regulatory standards and relevant legislation;
- support the evaluation and continuous development of services;
- embrace the use of technology to enhance service delive
