**Water Industry Centrifuge Operator (Night Shifts)**

Our esteemed client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water Industry Centrifuge Operator with expertise in sludge and dewatering for their night shift operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who thrive in a challenging work environment and have a strong background in centrifuge operations, sludge management, and dewatering processes. The role offers a rolling contract with excellent rates of pay.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate and oversee the maintenance of centrifuge equipment used in water treatment processes, with a specific focus on sludge dewatering.
- Execute routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance tasks on centrifuges to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor and adjust operating parameters to maximize efficiency in sludge dewatering operations.
- Conduct quality control tests on processed water and collected sludge to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Troubleshoot and address any operational issues or malfunctions promptly, particularly related to sludge dewatering.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently during night shifts and handle responsibilities with self-motivation and reliability.
- Facilitate smooth handovers with the day shift operator, ensuring a seamless transition.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience operating and maintaining centrifuge equipment in the water industry, with a strong focus on sludge management and dewatering, is essential.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently during night shifts, demonstrating self-reliance and adaptability.
- Strong attention to detail and proficiency in accurate data recording, particularly related to sludge and dewatering processes.
- Comprehensive understanding of water treatment processes, including sludge management and dewatering techniques.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and regulatory standards in sludge and water treatment.
- Proficient understanding of safety protocols and the ability to strictly adhere to them.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with the day shift operator.
- Flexibility to work extended 12-hour night shifts and occasional weekends.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 4 weeks

**Salary**: £18.00-£22.00 per hour
