The Postgraduate School of Primary Care has responsibility for General Practice Specialty Training across the North East and North Cumbria and increasingly the multi-professional primary care workforce.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHSE for the role of Primary Care Dean. This is a key role within the Postgraduate Dean’s Senior Management Team, providing critical clinical leadership and strategic input to the complex and expansive remit of Primary Care and General Practice Education.

To engage education providers with the organisation’s Quality Framework, covering all aspects of general practice education.

Open to innovation, research and quality improvement, there is full expectation and opportunity to contribute to developing national primary care workforce policy and influence the quality and nature of the future of the primary care workforce at a national level.

Influence and implement recommendations of the Long Term Workforce Plan
