**_As a result of reorganisation within the procurement team we’re looking for a Document Controller to enhance capability. The department is responsible for embedding a new sourcing and procurement model within ALD to both enhance central controlof external spend whilst build internal capability and 3rd party supply partnerships._ Initially offered as a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.**

**Key Purpose**
- You will become an integral part in developing ALD’s Procurement capability through introducing robust supplier monitoring and supply chain management best practice which will include:

- Build relationships with stake holders and high-risk suppliers to obtain the necessary data for compliance
- Becoming the custodian of supplier monitoring and approval for the business
- Ensure all suppliers, when set live, have the correct control and governance fulfilled.

**Summary of Responsibilities**
- For all suppliers maintain a report recording basic status, contact and regulatory data.
- For suppliers deemed high-risk this will require additionally:

- Obtain from suppliers the due diligence data required
- Provide reporting processes for the business
- Manage the Supplier on boarding process when approved
- Coordinate document verification, auditing all data returns for false positives
- Develop a monitoring process and raise any non-conformance identified
- Create and maintain a share-point file for each high-risk supplier
- Lead on quarterly compliance actions to ensure thorough supplier due diligence has been performed
- Lead on the training and use of supplier database to establish and monitor higher risk suppliers
- support in additional ad-hoc compliance requests related to Procurement, including but not limited to Modern Slavery, Sustainability and GDPR,
- Update supplier data base and ensure all compliance is within date

For the wider Procurement operation:

- Liaison with Group / Risk on new policies and procedures
- Be the recognised 'go to’ person for procurement supplier compliance matters
- Use of Group sourcing and supplier management tools
- Support wider team with sourcing activities and tenders
- Be in an integral part of the front-line procurement service

**Essential Criteria**
- Exposure to supply chain management and / or procurement operation
- A background and experience in supplier approval documentation and the due diligence process
- Exposure to management information systems
- Proven relationship (and stakeholder) management skills
- Good data analysis and reporting skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Proven ability to work as part of an effective team
- Ability to work at pace and delivery to agreed timescales
- Aptitude for coaching, training and empowering others outside of the department
- Experience in supporting transformational change or continuous improvement initiatives.
