Walsall, United Kingdom Mellish Engineering Services Ltd Full time

We are a fast paced manufacture of safety critical fasteners that end up in harsh environments and hard to get to places such as 100 meters deep in the ocean. We hold prestigious approvals and blue chip clients so everything we sell and supply has to be perfect. We are a culture of lean, problem solving and continuous improvement and push it continually for a better day tomorrow.

This role would best suit someone that is currently doing the role, similar (experienced production scheduler) or feels that they are at a time in their career that you are ready for the next stage of advancement. At Mellish we are on a Lean journey that ‘Non-Utilization of Talent’ is a big waste that we look for and we realize developing people is a must to grow the business and its future. We invite new ways to work and live by a PDCA (Plan, do, check, act) approach to everything we do. No idea is a bad one and we like things to be challenged as there might be a better way to do it or something outdated that we haven’t considered that doesn’t need to be done anymore. ‘We’ve always done it this way’ is a phrase we don’t like, Lean is about simplicity, reducing processes - not adding, waste eradication for better ways to work, right first time, 6’s workplace organization and all the value ultimately goes to the customer to have them happy for continued business.
