Trainee Sign Maker

Sigma 8 is looking to recruit a Trainee Sign Maker to join our growing team, you will work alongside an experienced Sign Making specialist, giving the successful applicant a fantastic opportunity to learn this highly skilled trade.

This role will require the successful Trainee Sign Maker to provide effective signage manufacture, assembly and installation.

We are open to discuss possibility of Part Time hours.

**Role and responsibilities (Training Provided)**:

- Operate light machinery and tools
- Check and sign off works on job sheet and complete reports when required, including admin.
- Measuring and calculating letter and logo sizes
- Cutting substrates including aluminium and plastics to make base for sign
- Installing signs on site including working at height
- Delivering products and materials as required
- Dealing with customers in a professional manner

**Essential skills**:

- A full driving license
- Ability to work at height
- Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to check your own work and that of others.
- An awareness of health and safety procedures
- Working as part of a team
- Ability to work to strict deadlines within budget
- Are able to work overtime, evenings and weekends depending on deadlines.

The role will be operating in both the workshop and on site, which can involve working outdoors, sometimes at height and in all weather conditions.

Travelling to others sites will require a full driving license (essential)
