Teaching Personnel work with a number of **Behaviour Provision Schools** across the**Liverpool** and **Wirral** area, we are looking to recruit those with knowledge of psychology to work alongside students with**mental health needs** and**anti-social behaviours** as **Teaching Assistants.**

Although the role is based around education support, due to the student’s personal needs and behaviours they require consistent **mentoring, motivating and advising, as well as some counselling**, so their well-being can remain stable meaningthey can achieve much more in their education and work towards a more independent future.

Behaviours displayed by the students can be challenging so applicants must be **prepared to practice de-escalation and calming techniques**, as well as **maintaining an empathetic approach** and understanding the behaviour stemsfrom other problems. Teaching Personnel are able to provide training opportunities in **Child Psychology, Mental Health and Team-Teach** for those looking to excel in the school based environment.

As a Teaching Assistant you must be **caring, non-judgemental and supportive**; building rapport is a priceless experience for these students who may **suffer with low self-esteem, behavioural difficulties and disrupted family lives**,and rely on their school network to provide safety and security for them.

**Working hours** are from**Monday to Friday 8.30am-3.30pm approx,**and is available on a supply and temporary basis with permanent and long term opportunities regularly available due to student intake and staffing needs.
