**Job Summary**

Moog is looking for a New Product Introduction (NPI) Buyer to join the team in this role you will serve as the point lead for support in sourcing and procurement of NPI projects within the Wolverhampton Military Business Group, supporting the development of sourcing decisions, negotiating pricing and project specific contractual terms including supplier identification, selection, relationship management, and development.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have worked within a similar industry environment, procuring components which means you’ll understand the necessity of on-time delivery, quality, and cost efficiency.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Knowledge of AS9145 would be helpful being the foundation for Moog’s MAPQP and PPAP frameworks for new product introduction.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, engineering, finance, technical background, or related field of study required. MBA preferred, along with Project/Program Management experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive work experience in the fields of technical purchasing, manufacturing, or engineering
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, detail-oriented and able to demonstrate an ability to understand complex equipment, regulation, and procedural requirements.
- Ability to deal with a variety of tasks at any one time and understand the priorities to meet deadlines.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of internal customers and stakeholders and with external suppliers.
- Experience in influencing decisions and project lead.
- Established procurement skillset to include product sourcing, negotiation strategy development and execution, contract development, negotiation, financial analysis, market analysis, and general supplier management.
- Ability to work well with others and on cross-functional teams, self-motivated/directed, and driven to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
- Proven ability to utilize various industry information and benchmarking, draw upon knowledge and research data utilizing internal and external sources of the global markets, interpret key stakeholder requirements, and leverage actionable data analytics in evaluating strategies, developing options, and executing tactics to deliver sustainable sourcing solutions.
- Potential travel to other Moog locations and suppliers, when required (about 10-15%)
- Knowledge of Trade Compliance requirements with respect to sharing technical data
- CIPS preferred.***
