Our client is a leading firm of solicitors in Perthshire and Tayside, with a rich heritage dating back to 1880. Due to continued growth, they are seeking to recruit an experienced secretary to strengthen our busy conveyancing team in Perth. As a secretary, you will play a crucial role in supporting their operations by performing a variety of secretarial and administrative tasks.

In this role, you will be providing administrative support to the conveyancing team which involves the following:

- Supporting the Solicitors and Fee Earners in the team.
- Efficiently schedule appointments and manage calendars
- Prepare copies and compile intricate documentation with precision.
- Execute a wide array of administrative tasks related to legal files including opening, updating and closing files.
- Comply with the firm's file management and organisation procedures
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain the court diary meticulously, prioritising deadlines and commitments.
- Engage with a diverse range of individuals, including clients and agencies, with a friendly, sensitive, and efficient demeanour.
- Give and receive relevant information while upholding the duty of confidentiality to clients, ensuring the highest standards of discretion.
- Good level of academic ability in Maths and English
- Qualification related to typing, or secretarial or legal work is desirable
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or Legal Administrator is essential
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage a varied workload
- Proven computer skills including experience in the use of Microsoft Office
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- Previous conveyancing experience is an advantage but not essential
