We are currently working in partnership with a Manufacturing Business based in Cardiff who are looking to employ a permanent **Engineering Test Design Assistant **for an expansion role within the business.

**You will be required to visit various UK testing sites infrequently **to perform testing, so you will need to have a full driving license. There are possible trips to other countries to test certain products in their own countries (predicted once or twice a year) for instance Dubai and Singapore.

The main purpose of this role is to participate in the arrangement and performance of all product testing, assisting the Test Engineer in the creation and maintenance of a test plan which encompasses product performance requirements set by product compliance. You will then visit Testing sites with the Engineer, ensure the testing rig is sent for all product testing, which will involve the organisation of the movement of required test materials to such sites, providing purchase orders, drawings, standard operating procedures and risk assessments that are to be carried out on site at installation.

- Starting salary of £26,500 moving up to £28,620 after 12 months

**Engineering Test Design Assistant Duties and Responsibilities**
- Assisting the Test Engineer in working with the Technical Compliance Data Analyst to prioritise testing requirements.
- Preparation and maintenance of a test plan which encompasses all required product testing.
- Organisation, production of drawings for, and complete installation of all product testing.
- Developing strong Standard Operating Procedures and Risk Assessments for each test type.
- reparation of trackable measures including Testing Success and Budget.
- Contribution as part of the Technical Department, to activities including, but not limited to:

- Performance of ongoing outreach programmes between other departments.
- Development ideas for product improvements based on testing results.
- Responsible for following all company procedures and policies in line with our compliance management system and reporting any concerns of noncompliance immediately.
- Responsibility for taking reasonable care of yourself and others who may be affected by your actions or omissions. You must follow all instructions and training given to you and ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures at all times.

**Engineering Test Design Assistant Essential Experience/Qualifications**
- Qualifications: A degree, HNC or HND in Architectural Technology, Structural Engineering or construction allied curriculum would be desirable, OR clear, demonstrable experience of performing complex testing in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Willing to travel with others, extensively, as part of the role.
- Good computer literacy and fluency with software including Microsoft Office, Autodesk, Revit, Inventor & Fusion 360.
- Ability to create and read technical design drawings.
- A good understanding of mathematical/structural principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to build good working relationships across all levels of the business.
- Good attention to detail, strong organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks with different priorities.
- Ability to work well under pressure, both as part of the team and on own initiative.
