Our client is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Health and Safety Advisor to join their team in Portsmouth on a permanent, full-time basis.

As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of their employees and maintaining compliance with all relevant safety regulations. This is a vital position within their organisation, and they are looking for someone who is passionate about promoting a safe work environment.

**Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to)**
- Conduct regular inspections of work areas to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries.
- Provide training to employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
- Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving safety performance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to workplace safety.
- Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, including trends, areas for improvement, and recommendations for action.
- Liaise with Clients on Health and Safety queries.
- Complete pre-qualification questionnaires and tender enquiries.
- Travel to multiple sites.

**Knowledge, Experience and Skills**
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in report writing and data analysis.
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying causes of accidents or
- incidents.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
- Technician grade membership of IOSH.
- Must be available for immediate start.

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
