**Fibre Supervisor**

**Brief**

Fibre Supervisor needed to join a global telecoms organization who drive end-to-end hyper-scale data network solutions. Our client partners with global telecom companies, cloud companies, citizen networks and large enterprises to deliver solutions for their fixed and wireless systems for current and future needs.

As a Fibre Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and supervising all fibre/cable related construction activity in the field through placing primary focus on the compliance to specification, legislative compliance, quality of work and safe practices employed at all times. You will supervise a team of Cable, Aerial, Underground and Fibre deployment gangs responsible for the deployment of the network build programme in order to ensure monthly, quarterly, annual build and budget targets are achieved.

It's desirable for the successful Fibre Supervisor to possess prior experience with U/G, O/H and FTTx/FTTh projects.

**Responsibilities of the Fibre Supervisor**:

- Overseeing Rod/Rope, Cabling & Splicing teams involved in Framework Contracts FTTP, PIA projects or other associated civils and cabling projects.
- Ensuring all staff under supervision are competent, fully trained and licensed where necessary and hold the correct accreditations.
- Carry out pre site surveys of all works and highlight and record potential risks and variations. Prepare survey information for submission to the client.
- Liaise with Local Authorities, Highways Agencies, other utilities and clients to coordinate works.
- Carry out site meetings with representatives to discuss works, permit conditions and agree Traffic Management requirements.
- You shall carry out audits to ensure that work sites meet NRSWA and Health & Safety standards and that sites are compliant with the current scope of works.
- Report all incidents/accidents and carry out strike investigation reports.
- Ensure all post installation documents are completed and checked in accordance with the conditions of the project, including test results and as-builts.

**Experience needed to be the successful Fibre Supervisor**:

- Experience of previous U/G and O/H FTTX/FTTH projects.
- Experience of working with Quality Plans, Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- NRSWA Supervisor accreditation with a good working knowledge of the New Roads and Streetworks Act.
- Experience in monitoring quality, progress and safe working and accurately report the progress of the site teams against programme.
- Experience with network deployment using the BT Openreach network (PIA)
- CSCS Construction Site Supervisor Card.
