The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for a dedicated Senior Warehouse Operative to optimize our Distribution & Warehouse Operations to transport and deliver goods in accordance with the schedule as determined by the

dispatcher. You'll be responsible for supervising a team of 5 warehouse operative within our autostore department as well contributing to the operative side of the department.

This role will be a full-time position based out of our Lutterworth site. You will have the opportunity to be part of the amazing warehouse team. If you are dependable, flexible, and organized with thorough warehouse experience as well as people management skills

- Previous experience in picking & packing, goods in & out, dispatch
- Stock control
- Literacy & numeracy
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
- Self-motivated
- Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks
- Team player
- Reliability and dependability
- Good organisational skills
- FLT license highly desirable

How you will thrive and create an impact

Transports and delivers goods in accordance with the schedule as determined by dispatcher.

Unloads or assists in unloading freight as required. Properly secures loads and ensures loads are within weight limits.

Verifies count and condition of goods loaded and unloaded. Make reports of overages, shortages and breakage/damage as needed.

Operates the truck/van units in a safe manner. Reports any vehicle problems and defects to Maintenance Department.

Maintains a good driving record.

Ensures good customer relations by consistently delivering orders on time and acting in a courteous and professional manner.

Responsible for communicating with internal stakeholders on a daily basis.

Back up when manager is absent

Supervising 5 warehouse operative members of the team
