Fraser Carver are working with a rapidly expanding FinTech who are looking to hire an experienced stand alone UX Lead reporting into the Chief Product Officer.

You’ll be responsible for directing, owning, and shaping their product strategy and user centred culture. We’re looking for a passionate, curious, and proactive team player who’s not afraid to get stuck in across every part of the design process. You’llbe working to launch new products, revamping and continuously optimising existing ones. From initial exploration to validating potential solutions, you’ll work to ensure we’re delivering the best possible experiences that are inclusive, easy to use, and deliverreal value.

Key Responsibilities:

- Flex your full UX toolkit to drive a user centric approach across the business, demonstrating the immense value it brings. Be bold and brave
- Jump in day to day to deliver new features and journeys as part of our cross-functional delivery teams
- Proactively seek opportunities to optimise existing flows, features, and experiences across our products, supported with evidence and rationale
- Lead user research to explore and validate using a range of methods such as depth interviews, usability testing, surveys, and more to inform our product’s direction and understanding of our customers.
- Turn abstract ideas into reality through wireframes, journeys, prototypes, and polished UI designs embodying best practices in usability, accessibility, and industry trends.
- Take stakeholders on a journey, with clear explanations using data, best practice, and principles.
- Get out there to meet and greet with team’s and stakeholders across the business to grow awareness, advocacy, and maturity for design.
- Be loud and proud You’ll need to roll up your sleeves and run collaborative workshops that bring people together to explore, ideate, plan and critique.
- Help shape our culture by challenging assumptions, championing curiosity, and managing stakeholder expectations across streams of work.
- Build the foundations, and level up our tooling, processes, and spearhead the growth of the design team. This includes maintaining and improving our component libraries, templates, and guides

Experience required:

- 3+ years’ experience creating experiences across a range of platforms and channels that demonstrates your varied UX toolkit
- Hands on experience across the design and delivery process, from initial discovery, through to reviewing post-live performance and implementing iterative improvements
- Experience running varied user research and feeding insights into your own work, and the work of others
- Strong hands-on wireframing, Journey mapping and prototyping skills
- A proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving as part of multi-functional teams
- Experience defining and validating assumptions and hypothesis, using a range of qualitative & quantitative sources
- Great analytical skills with a proven ability to identify behaviours, hypothesis, and issues by pulling together a variety of data
- Experience in influencing, guiding, and building design maturity within an organisation
- Experience working with, and maintaining design libraries, guidelines, and proactively creating other resources that aid team’s delivery high quality experiences
- Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence

Location: This role is largely remote but will involve travel to offices near Oxford ideally once a week.
