ROLE PROFILE
The Why
As the Import Merchandiser for Nadine Merabi, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the business receives the stock to achieve the restock and launch strategies in line with achieving the financial forecast.
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITY
The What
**Responsible for**:
- Monitor and adhere to the critical path to ensure all product is delivered in a timely manner, according to the launch calendar.
- Attend weekly Production Schedule meetings to capture visibility on the status of orders through the Product Development team and inform the team of urgent stock priorities.
- Compile product details for the E-commerce Team for weekly restocks and seasonal drops.
- Work with Merchandising to accurately plan the delivery requirements for the season’s buys.
- Work with Wholesale and Retail teams to ensure stock delivery requirements can be met.
- Have a very clear understanding of the overall business stock picture at all times to ensure the correct production is prioritised.
- Manage the supply chain, freight forwarders and methods of transportation.
- Monitor the supply base through KPI’s. Issue fines or discounts for late deliveries, incorrect packing (e.g. incorrect barcodes/carton labelling) or less than acceptable quality standards.
- Communicate regularly with the warehouse regarding inbound.
- Updating delivery schedule - weekly with production in transit/actual delivery dates and quantities.
**Accountable for**:
- Ensuring the supply base are prioritising the correct POs based on stock priorities for the business.
- Ensuring the business receives the stock in a timely manner to achieve the financial goals.
- Ensuring any changes to planned launches are communicated to the business in a timely manner.
- Achieving our target landed margin by negotiating inbound rates & monitoring any currency and duty fluctuations and the effect this will have on the business.
**Essential Skills & Experience**
- 3+ years' experience as an Import Merchandiser / Production Manager for a fashion brand.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with individuals at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem
- solving and decision making.
- Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to be a decision maker and have strong negotiating skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with an ability to identify risk and confidently provide solutions.
