Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will provide essential care and assistance to individuals in various settings such as childcare, nursing homes, home care, hospice care, and more. Your role will involve supporting individuals with daily activities, medication administration, behavior management, and ensuring their overall well-being.

**Duties**:

- Provide personal care and support to individuals in accordance with their individual care plans
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation
- Monitor and manage behaviors of individuals with dementia or challenging behaviors
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary
- Accompany individuals to appointments or outings as required
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in childcare, nursing homes, home care, or hospice care is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and procedures
- Familiarity with dementia care techniques and behavior management strategies
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
- Experience working with individuals with complex medical needs is an asset
- Valid driver's license is required for certain positions

Please note, this position includes driving between clients homes so you must have a full UK license and access to your own vehicle. We pay 40p per mile for driving and pay travelling time.

All our support workers must be flexible to work alternative weekends although these are set to allow you to make plans around them.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £11.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
