Key Details:
Work Schedule:

- 4 days a week at our workshop:

- Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Friday: 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM
- 1 day a week at college for training (day and times to be arranged) - paid

Qualifications:

- Minimum of grade 5 in English and Maths GCSE

Training Provided:
As an apprentice at Giraffe Fabrications, you will receive hands-on training in various aspects of metal fabrication, including:
Welding Techniques:

- MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding
- TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding

Sheet Metal Work:

- Cutting, bending, and shaping metal sheets
- Assembly and finishing of metal products

Fabrication Techniques:

- Working with various metals such as steel, aluminium, and stainless steel
- Fabricating components and structures from technical drawings

Machinery Operation and Maintenance:

- Safe operation of fabrication machinery such as press brake, guillotine and powered hand tools
- Routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment

Health and Safety Protocols:

- Understanding and implementing workplace safety standards
- Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Technical Drawing Interpretation:

- Reading and understanding engineering drawings
- Translating designs into finished products

Varied and Exciting Work:
At Giraffe Fabrications, we make a huge variety of products. As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn to make a wide variety of items, including custom metalwork for architectural projects, furniture, and signs. You will gain experience in a broad range of fabrication tasks.

Comprehensive Learning Support:
In addition to learning at college, you will receive extensive hands-on training in the workshop. We also provide support with your college coursework while at work, ensuring you have all the resources and guidance needed to succeed in both your practical and academic training.
