To assist with the smooth running of the administrative requirements regarding reception, minor injuries unit, out-patient clinics and ward clerk duties. To maintain quality of admin service reporting quality issues to Senior Administrator. To ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times adhering to Trust policy. To liaise effectively with other departments, e.g.

IT, Maintenance and Medical Electronics to ensure smooth running of the hospital and supply of equipment. To use IT systems effectively and support and teach others as required. To deal with telephone enquiries from the general public, GPs, Consultants Secretaries or other staff from Acute Trusts/Agencies and re-direct as necessary. To manage complaints in a courteous manner requesting support from Senior Admin and adhering to Trust policy and guidance.

To prioritise own workload and take initiative where necessary. Provide administrative assistance in other departments from time to time and covering colleagues during periods of absence. To undertake any other general office duties which are appropriate to the post. To undertake all mandatory training and participate in Trust core induction programme.

To report incidents to Senior Admin and assist in completion of incident forms, inputting onto Radar and taking subsequent actions as required.
