This is a secondment/fixed term 1 year opportunity to help cover maternity leave. You will help line manage a growing department working on The Project Breathe Team and associated studies. This post will be 3 days a week (22.5 hours a week) and will require working on Mondays and Wednesdays each week. The additional day may be negotiable.

The Project Breathe Team currently has variety of non-interventional Cystic Fibrosis studies. It is an exciting time to join the team with 2 large studies opening in the early part of 2023. Due to this significant increase in activity, the team is rapidly growing. You would be responsible for mentoring and inducting new staff members.

You will be involved in ensuring that any research undertaken safeguards the well being of the patients and is conducted according to Good Clinical Practice. In conjunction with the other members of the team, facilitate the production of good quality research. To ensure that the research conducted at Royal Papworth Hospital is performed within the regulatory guidelines and also the specifications outlined in the trial protocol. Writing of departmental standard operating procedures and also ensure compliance with both departmental standard operating procedures on the conduct of research and Trust governance requirements both by themselves and by other staff.
