Senior Mince Room Supervisor

Duties / Responsibilities:

- Ensuring a safe working environment for all colleagues at all times.
- Manage and co-ordinate colleagues working in the mince rooms
- Acting as first point of contact and liaison for all staff in regard to dealing with
and resolving issues and ensuring the efficient and effective running of all
relevant areas.
- Ensuring that all paperwork, processes and procedures are followed and adhered
to at all times.
- Achieving all targets/KPI’s set by the business and Operations Manager
- Individual mix yields to be checked during the day and at the end of the shift to
ensure they are correct before leaving work. Deviations to be reported to the
Operations Manager and corrected in a timely manner
- Ensure stock is rotated and used correctly in accordance with the use by dates
unless otherwise instructed.
- Ensuring appropriate blending of raw material to produce a final product at the
correct VL according to specification of respective products.
- Ensuring all costs are controlled in line with the business expectations
- Ensures that machines are in good state in order to avoid hazards
- To assist with sampling of the mince for pan and fat analysis, ensuring that the
sample is representative of the batch of product being produced.
- Reviews emergency situations to consider what the organization could have
done to prevent them from occurring
- Responsible for co-ordinating colleagues in a safe and efficient manner
- liaise and communicate with operational management
- Responsible for supporting all areas to ensure targets/KPI’s are achieved whilst
driving performance through the implementation of continuous improvement.
- Responsible for resolving immediate and medium-term issues
- Covering all mince rooms as and when required
